Michiel Capshaw

House Manager

My struggle with addiction began at the age of twenty. After experiencing many failures and disappointments, and going through three rehabs, I finally checked into my last facility at the age of fifty. I took my first steps toward recovery on February 28th, 2022. Three months into the program, I was asked to become the intake coordinator, a role I served in until I graduated at the six-month mark. I was then the medication coordinator and joined the staff. During my time there, I completed the 12 steps of AA with my sponsor. After 14 months, I left and moved to San Antonio to make amends with my family and children. Two years later, I have been given the incredible opportunity to be a part of Padre's Place here in Athens, TX.

Evan Foster

House Manager

After 30 years of extreme alcohol and drug abuse, I finally reached out for help. I got a sponsor and worked the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and to this day I still do. It has changed my life a complete 180.  I no longer have to live that way and today I am proud to be part of the team at Padres Place with over 1 year of sobriety.  I am grateful & Blessed!
