Taking Your First Step Toward Freedom

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28

At Padre’s Place, admission isn’t based on an insurance policy or a clinical diagnosis—it is based on a willingness to change and a desire to seek God’s plan for your life. We are a private, community-supported ministry dedicated to helping those ready to surrender their struggle to the power of Jesus Christ.

The Enrollment Process

1. The Initial Connection Your journey begins with a conversation. We want to hear your story, understand your struggles, and determine if our intensive Biblical 12-Step model is the right fit for your current needs. Call us at 903-218-2135 or fill out the form below.

2. Spiritual Assessment Unlike traditional clinical assessments, our intake process focuses on the heart. We look at your readiness to engage in rigorous honesty, your commitment to the 4-week intensive, and your desire for spiritual growth.

3. Commitment to the Walk Because we move through Steps 1–5 in just 30 days, we require a high level of commitment. Prospective clients must be physically stable and mentally ready to dive deep into the Word of God and personal inventory.

Take Control of Your Future

"Transforming lives from the inside out by uniting the proven 12-Step process with the redemptive power of the Gospel."

In a secular program, the "Higher Power" is left to the individual's interpretation. In our program, we identify the Higher Power specifically as Jesus Christ. While we use the same 12-step framework, every step is anchored in Scripture, focusing not just on sobriety, but on a restored relationship with God.

No. We welcome anyone who is struggling and looking for a way out. All we ask is that you come with an open heart and a willingness to explore what the Bible says about addiction and recovery. You don't need to "have it all figured out" to start Step 1.

Addiction thrives in isolation and delay. By moving through the first five steps in 30 days, we help you "clear the wreckage" of the past quickly so you can experience the weight being lifted. This intensive phase creates the spiritual momentum needed for long-term transformation.

We focus on the spiritual and emotional roots of addiction. If you require medical detoxification or 24/7 clinical supervision for withdrawal, we recommend completing that first. Our program is the "Heart-Work" phase that ensures once you are physically clean, you have the spiritual foundation to stay that way.

Many people find that secular steps felt like "homework" or "willpower." When you add the power of the Holy Spirit and the accountability of a faith-based community, the steps change from a self-help tool to a life-giving encounter with God.

Absolutely. While we emphasize "Confession" in Step 5, we adhere to strict confidentiality standards. Your inventory is shared only with a trusted, trained mentor of your choosing, and your personal story remains your own.

Yes. During Week 2, we help you identify a "Step Guide"—someone further along in their walk with Christ who can hear your Step 5 inventory and provide biblical encouragement and accountability.
